Free Lucky Clover Crochet Pattern: Fast & Easy St. Patrick’s Day Project

To support my free patterns, this post includes affiliate links for materials I love. Thank you for your support! 💖

Looking for a quick and lucky project to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? This Free Lucky Clover Crochet Pattern is the perfect way to add a touch of green to your home or gifts! Whether you want to make a festive keychain, a garland, earnings, or a cute embellishment for your dolls, this pattern is beginner-friendly and takes less than 15 minutes to complete.

At EmmaS Dolls, I love creating patterns that bring joy without taking hours of your time. This little shamrock is a great stash-buster – you only need a small amount of green yarn and a hook to get started. This clover is worked in parts and then sewn together, giving it a lovely plump, 3D shape that looks much more professional than a flat applique.

Scroll down for the full step-by-step instructions and let’s get hooking! Don’t forget to pin this to your St. Paddy’s Pinterest board for later!

    • Fiberfill, scissors, and a tapestry needle.
    • Optional: Stitch markers and a keychain ring, earring hooks, or a simple chain.
    • Find all these essentials here: Crochet Supplies & Accessories.

The Leaf (Make 4)

Each leaf consists of two small parts joined together to create that classic heart shape.

Part I:

  1. Rnd 1: MR, 6 SC = [6]
  2. Rnd 2: 6 SC = [6]
    Fasten off.

Part II:

  1. Rnd 1: MR, 6 SC = [6]
  2. Rnd 2: 6 SC = [6]
Do not break the yarn. Continue working by joining Part II to Part I.

Joining the Parts:

3. Rnd 3: 2 SC, DEC, 2 SC (on Part I), then DEC, 2 SC, DEC (on Part II).

> Tip: If you see a small gap between the two parts after joining, use your yarn tail and a needle to sew it closed now.

4. Rnd 4: (SC, DEC) x 3 [6]

Finishing the Leaf:

Stuff the leaf lightly with silicone stuffing. Fasten off and weave in the ends to close the hole. Repeat this process until you have four identical leaves.
