Materials You’ll Need

  • Yarn: I use a 100% cotton yarn from my local store. The best match and my top recommendation for this pattern is Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK.

    • Fiberfill, scissors, and a tapestry needle.
    • Optional: Stitch markers and a keychain ring or pendant loop if you want to turn your donut into an accessory.

Bottom Part (Dough)

The bottom part starts on the first row of the top part, creating the base of the donut. Make sure that the parts are facing you with the right side out. The top and bottom should face each other on the wrong side. If it is easier for you, you can make the parts separately and sew them together at the end.

Start on the first row of the top part. Alternatively, if you prefer to make them separately: Ch 15, slip stitch to the first chain to form a circle.
