Materials list:
- Yarn: I use a 100% cotton yarn from my local store. The best match and my top recommendation for this pattern is Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK.
- Hook: I used a 2mm hook. I highly recommend Clover Amour Hooks for the best experience.
- Tools & Supplies:
- Fiberfill, scissors, and a tapestry needle.
- Optional: Stitch markers and blush (you can use wax crayons, chalk, or real makeup).

Ring, Middle, and Index Fingers (Make 3)
Round 1: 6sc in MR [6]
Round 2: (sc, inc) x 3 [9]

Thumb
Round 1: 6sc in MR [6]
Round 2: (sc, inc) x 3 [9]

Hand Assembly
Join the fingers together (starting from the little finger):
Round 1: 4sc (little finger), 4sc (ring finger), 4sc (middle finger), 9sc (index finger), 5sc (middle finger), 5sc (ring finger), 5sc (little finger) [36]
Rounds 2-3: 36sc [36]
Round 4: (5sc, dec, 5sc) x 3 [33]

Round 6: 15sc, 3sc (through both the thumb and the hand at the same time to attach the thumb), 15sc [33]
Round 7: 15sc, 6sc (around the remaining stitches of the thumb), 15sc [36]
Stuff the hand as you go.
Rounds 8-10: 36sc [36] (3 rounds)
Round 11: (2sc, dec, 2sc) x 6 [30]
Round 12: 30sc [30]
Round 13: (3sc, dec) x 6 [24]

Stuff firmly.
Fasten off.
Hand Base Patch
Using beige yarn:
Round 1: 6sc in MR [6]
Round 2: 6 inc [12]
Round 3: (sc, inc) x 6 [18]
Round 4: (sc, inc, sc) x 6 [24]
Fasten off.
Join the thread and connect the patch to the bottom of the hand with 24sc through both layers.
Fasten off and weave in the end.
Finishing Details:
- Stitches & Cut Lines: Using black yarn, embroider the cut lines and stitches on the hand.
- Shading: Add blush or shading to the doll’s cheeks and around the hand’s cut lines using makeup, soft chalk pastels, or wax crayons.
