Looking for a quick and fun crochet project? Meet the Free Amigurumi Pattern: UFO Flying Saucer, a design that truly took the crochet community by storm. This is one of my best-selling patterns on Etsy, and for a good reason! When I first introduced it, this little UFO was downloaded over 1,500 times in just 48 hours on Ravelry, making it an instant favorite among crocheters worldwide.

What makes this design so fun to work up is its unique construction. The pattern is worked in two main pieces: the alien’s head and the top of the spaceship are crocheted together as one single piece, while the bottom of the saucer is made separately. To get that perfectly defined, sturdy edge around the spaceship’s disc, you will join the two pieces using single crochet stitches through both loops, which gives the UFO its distinct, clean shape.

Whether you are looking for a quirky nursery mobile, a unique backpack charm, or a fast-selling market prep item, this Flying Saucer is the perfect fit.
